TagIt works best with items that have an active resale market: electronics, sneakers, clothing and apparel, collectibles, vintage items, home goods, media (books, records, games), and small appliances. If an item is extremely rare or one-of-a-kind, results may be less precise.
TagIt works in any modern browser — no download required. You can scan items from your phone or desktop. A native mobile app is coming soon.
If TagIt can't confidently identify an item, it will tell you and won't waste a scan credit. You can try retaking the photo from a different angle or with better lighting. For extremely rare items, manual research may still be needed.
Google Lens can identify items, but it doesn't price them. You'd still need to manually search completed listings on each marketplace, compare prices, calculate fees, and decide where to list. TagIt does all of that in one scan — identification, multi-marketplace pricing, fee calculation, and listing generation.
You get 10 free scans with no credit card required. When you create an account, your scan counter starts. Once you've used your 10 free scans, you can upgrade to a paid plan for unlimited scanning.
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from your account dashboard. There are no contracts or cancellation fees.
TagIt's accuracy depends on how much sold-comp data exists for your specific item. Common items with hundreds of recent sales get high-confidence results. Rare or unique items with few comps get lower confidence scores — and we always show you the confidence level so you know how much to trust the price. We use real sold-transaction data from major marketplaces, not asking prices.
We currently pull live sold-comp data from eBay. Poshmark, Mercari, and Depop are built and in beta — external APIs are being finalized and will go live soon. StockX and GOAT integration is also on the roadmap. We calculate net profit after each platform's fees so you know your real take-home.
Yes. On Pro and Scale plans, TagIt generates AI-optimized listing titles and descriptions tailored to each marketplace. On the Enterprise plan, our team handles the entire listing process for you — from photo to publish.
